This painting concentrates attention on lines, shapes and colour patterns, rhythms,  balances and (most of all) repetitions, to create a coherently structured colour/shape  composition. The apparently mundane subject-matter of this painting provides an  opportunity to utilize variations of colour and shape for their own sake, where reference  to what is being depicted is secondary to the combination of non-figurative visual  ingredients.
